This week for Wireless Wednesday we’re talking about the smart phones out on the market today. As we all know, the holidays are just around the corner, and a new phone is likely to be on many people’s wish lists. Not sure which phone is right for you? Check out this excerpt from @FierceWireless’ holiday smartphone guide to get some more insight on the smartphone world.

“There are several themes that emerge when looking at the list. The most obvious is that three Tier 1 carriers–Verizon Wireless, AT&T Mobility and now Sprint Nextel–are supporting Apple’s iPhone. T-Mobile USA, left out of the iPhone sweepstakes, is focusing much of its holiday marketing firepower on Android devices, which have accounted for the bulk of its device sales this year. At the same time, Research In Motion is trying to make a splash with its BlackBerry 7 devices in advance of its BBX phones coming next year, and Microsoft¬† is hoping its Windows Phone Mango devices can find traction in a
crowded market.”

Regardless of your wireless carrier, there are some pretty amazing smartphones out there. Some highlight phones include the iPhone 4/4S, the HTC Rezound, the Motorola Mobility Droid Razor, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, the HTC Titan, the Research In Motion BlackBerry Torch 9860, and the HTC Evo Design 4G. To see the specs of these phones and others, check out this holiday smartphone guide in it’s original context posted here.
